Age: 7 years old

Breed: crossbreed

Rescue date: june 2016

This little girl is one of those many pets, mainly cats, who once had a home and ended up on the streets.

Initially she was rescued by an elderly woman who could not take care of her, so as a serious foundation we decided to take her in. As is mandatory with all rescued, we took Jade to the vet where she unfortunately was diagnosed with FIV + or Feline AIDS.

FIV is an incurable disease but with proper care, the pet can live perfectly for many years.

What are these basic cares?

  • Good quality and nutritious food.
  • Subject her to regular deworming, both internal and external.
  • Keep her indoors to prevent it from catching infections or spreading her disease to other cats.
  • Follow the stipulated vaccination program.
  • Offer her homeopathy for cats as a preventive tool against secondary infections.

It is very important to clarify that FIV is not transmissible to humans.

We managed to place her in a sanctuary for kittens with this condition where she takes the best care and is sharing space with other kittens under the same condition as her.

Her personality
She is an extremely calm and affectionate cat, a very huggable cat to share your life with.

Due to glaucoma, we had to remove one of her eyes, despite her FIV + and the lack of her eye she has a very normal life.

Jade must be a unique pet and is already spayed.
